"Mega
Hog" is the most entertaining episode of History Channel's series
"MonsterQuest". Involuntarily entertaining, that is. Mega Turkey
might have been a better title.
Apparently, boar hunters in Texas believe in the existence of a super-boar, known as Hogzilla, which is four times as large as regular wild boars. It's the dream of all hunters to prove their manly prowess and shoot this "Hogzilla". Some claim to have done so already, but scientists are sceptical.
In this episode of "MonsterQuest", a cranium from a supposed mega-boar is analyzed by experts and turns out to be the skull of an enormous domestic pig! Some Texas rancher was breeding jumbo-sized pigs at his farm. One of them got away, only to be shot by a silly cowboy who assumed he had finally found the mega-boar. Wrong. The victim was a mega-hamburger named Pigzilla. HA HA HA.
In another unforgettable part of "Mega Hog", the cowboys place modern camera equipment on a wild boar in the vain hope that it will lead them to Hogzilla. The only thing that happens is that the boar disappears into the bush with the expensive equipment on his back!
Gee, what a mindjob, what do you *say* to a thing like that?
First, it'll kill you. Then, it'll eat you.
:D
Of course, "Mega Hog" is available on the DVD which includes all episodes of the second season of "MonsterQuest".
