Forever and ever. What more can I say?

"Forever and ever" is *the* album featuring Demis Roussos, the Egyptian-born Greek singer with the peculiar voice and unusual lyrics. It was released in 1973.

My parents had the original album, and I frequently listened to it as a kid. I recently rediscovered this album on Youtube. Hearing the songs again was a bizarre experience: I distinctly remember all of them, although it must be between 20 and 30 years ago I heard them the last time! Human memory is, well, fascinating.

I was also surprised to learn that Demis Roussos is still alive and kicking. He is currently 67 years old, and can be found on Facebook. As a kid, I assumed that Roussos was about that age already when recording "Forever and ever" - I mean, a big guy with a huge beard, looks like a grandpa?! And no, I still can't make out all the lyrics...

I'm not really a fan of Demis (a later album, "Adagio", is downright boring), but this all-time cult classic deserves ten stars and more!

Thanks for making my day, old man. ;-)
