A review of "Encyclopedia of Dogs" by David Alderton
About 350 dog breeds are introduced in this huge encyclopedia, but the
presentations are relatively short. There are also general sections on how to
take care of (or getting along with) your dog. The text seems rather basic. The
photos are the fun part. If you absolutely adore dogs and consider them sweet
little mushkins, this may be for you. Personally, I just shook my head at some
of the breed presentations. They make absolutely no sense. Thus, the Giant
Schnauzer is supposedly a “nice family and pet dog”. Yeah, sure. A yuuuge mushkin, whatever.
