A charming dude if there ever was one! And he visited the Underworld and came back! Now as a kid I was awe struck by the Eleusinian Mysteries, of which we know next to nothing, since it was secret! Indeed! How about a piece on Marcionism? It could be Marcion actually wrote the first Gospel, disparaged by the early Church "fathers" , expanded upon by Luke. Naturally he was excommunicated as orthodoxy established itself as "the one, true doctrine". But his ideas are intriguing to say the least.
Yes, alien as "unknown" God. The controversy surrounding Marcion still rages to this day, although the Second Coming and the end of the World both are imminent!
