There is a peculiar speculation about Jesus. It says that Jesus lived 100 years BC. Or perhaps we really have to say BCE in this case! He was none other than the Teacher of Righteousness, the leader of the Essene community mentioned in the Dead Sea scrolls. Over a century later, this Messianic character appeared in visions to Paul and the apostles, revealing that “Jesus” was his true name, and calling on them to prepare for the Last Days…
Surely that
kind of scenario is impossible and absurd, right? I mean, *somebody* would have
noticed, right? Well, yes, somebody did notice. A certain Babylonian Talmud
noticed. And some Christian “heretics” safely tucked away in Mesopotamia.
But we can
do better. *A similar thing has happened in our time*. Yes, really! In 1930,
the American Guy Ballard met a mysterious Ascended Master named St Germain, who
bestowed new teachings onto him. Or so Ballard claim. Please note that while
Ballard is the real founder of the I AM Activity (as his movement was to be
called), St Germain is the purported founder. Purported founders are usually fictitious.
But, believe it or not, St Germain was actually a real historical figure! The
real Comte de St Germain passed away in 1784. He never visited North America,
preferring France and then-Danish territory. St Germain was an alchemist and
his reputation was such that some people refused to believe he had passed away.
He became known as “the count who never dies” and became elevated to the status
of a Master in Theosophy.
And in
1930, he supposedly appeared to Ballard on Mount Shasta.
I´m not saying
the Jesus scenario above actually happened. It´s fringe. But it could have. It´s
not impossible. There!
There is an I Am Temple at 176 W Washington St in Chicago. It's been there for decades...a 12 story building...guess the Ballards did pretty well after all!
ReplyDeleteWow, I assumed that the original I AM Activity would be more likely to meet in some run down hood at a used book store! Clearly, somebody is doing well, yes. The "decrees" work! :-O
ReplyDeleteA few Yoga centers resemble that remark, now torn down to build more white peeples town home/condos and add more income to the tax stream. I am now surrounded by million dollar homes and I've lived here 45+ years. Of course me and my kind are fading fast.
