Here is an idea I just had. Or perhaps I had it all along. What if nothing can be done to stop the climate crisis? Not simply that nothing will be done, but that the crisis has proceeded so far that nothing *can* be done? Not even "in principle".
Climate activism is a form of liberal reformism based on the idea that "another world is possible"...if we just push back a bit, and then take over the regulatory agencies of the UN, EU and the fake nation-states. And all drive EVs. Build wind turbines. Or whatever.
On the fringes, the increasingly irrelevant Marxists scream: "Yeah, your program is possible...but only if we make a socialist revolution first". Cuz reasons.
And no, CCS doesn´t work either. You didn´t *really* believe in that one, did you?
So actually, nothing can be done at all. Even if we stop using fossil fuels tomorrow (and stop eating beef), the climate crisis will only get worse anyway. But of course, China and India won´t stop. And the Swedish middle classes will continue going on holiday to Rhodes, in the middle of forest fires.
Let this sink in for a moment...
Then what? What conclusions would you draw from the above?
