It´s difficult to know what´s parody and what´s real, and if it even matters at this stage. But sure, Otherkin and Therians are (or were?) actual subcultures about 10 years ago or so.
In the first clip, a mother claims that her son identifies as a cat and therefore has the right to get treated by a veterinarian! In the second one, a girl asks bizarre questions about "bird Therians" and also mentions yet another real subculture, the Multiple Systems.
As for myself, I identify as a luminous & ascended space alien having a very human depression!
