"Spiked" on-line magazine betrays Trump? Didn´t these guys tacitly support the Donald until, I don´t know, yesterday? Also, what happened to their usual cynicism? "Spiked" also downplays the substantial aid the Western powers *have* given Ukraine, without which the Ukrainians wouldn´t have lasted this long. Ukraine isn´t some small nation valiantly fighting for its freedom all by itself. It´s, ahem, a NATO proxy. Even "Spiked" must know this, since they expect Ukraine to de facto surrender now when Trump is no longer firmly on their side. And how does "Spiked" propose to retake Crimea without World War III?
That being said, I agree that the Western alliance are at bottom "securocrats" who somehow imagined they could defeat Russia (that´s Russia for crying out loud) while everything else stayed pretty much the same (give or take some energy price hikes and more debt). When an all-out mobilization of industrial power (et cetera) would have been needed.
Do they even have a plan for a post-war situation?
