The Finnish swastiska again...

I didn´t know it was Eric von Rosen who inspired Finland to adopt the swastika as a military symbol. Note the irony that von Rosen later became an, ahem, Nazi sympathizer! And yes, Finland fought on the German side during most of World War II. 

That being said, I agree that the swastika had little connection specifically to fascism or right-wing nationalism during the early 20th century. "Everyone" used it as a lucky charm of sorts.

The swastika is really a primordial symbol the meaning of which is lost in time. Eternal cyclical time, perhaps?

  2. I tried to make Bing AI generate a Buddhist temple with a swastika, and got the request blocked. So yes, it´s a thing. Don´t they want over one billion Hindus and Buddhists to use their product?
