An Anthropocene worth having

 



An interesting essay signed John Michael Greer, which is both very radical and very moderate at the same time. 

While rejecting the present-day environmentalist movement as completely integrated into the corporate-statist system, JMG´s solution isn´t outright primitivism but rather a kind of decentralized conservation of natural resources for the benefit of both animals, plants and - surprise - humans. Indeed, humans can improve a natural wasteland and make it more ecologically diverse. Note JMG´s reference to "Dune"! 

I´m not optimistic, to be honest, but sure, it´s worth reading. And perhaps trying...
