As several people already pointed out: while many Republicans oppose (or at least trendily pretend to oppose) unlimited aid to Ukraine, they usually support the notion that Israel should get, well, unlimited aid. Since Israel and Ukraine are on the same side, while Iran and probably Russia opposes both, there seems to be some kind of contradiction here...
Oh, and I wonder if there´s a connection between the de facto recess of the US Congress (brought about by the Democrats when voting with Matt Gaetz) and the timing of the Hamas attack? Probably not, it´s more likely to be connected to the anniversary of the Yom Kippur war, Putin´s birthday (yes, it´s today) or something like that.
Still, the little October surprise with the Dems blocking with the radical half of the Freedom Caucus couldn´t have come at a worse moment...
