Not sure if this is purely anecdotal or not, but it seems to be a common accusation against American evangelical missionaries that they take advantage of calamities to convert people (same in Thailand).
Maybe Hindus should go to Murica and convert the American Indians? They could make the Comanches into Rajputs, I suppose...
