I just realized that I probably never linked to this article, from the Canadian "TERF" on-line magazine 4W. It´s written from a materialist and anti-religious perspective I don´t necessarily agree with, but it´s interesting anyhow. The author, 4W founder M K Fain, believes that there is a connection between trans identity, childhood abuse, body dysmorphia or OCD, and the "magical thinking" supposedly typical of religion. Apparently, many trans-people come from oppressive-conservative religious backgrounds. She also points out the similarities between the trans "community" and destructive cults, and between the fanaticized trans "activism" and religious violence. The term "Gender Jihad" is a keeper!
