Yes, breaking or breakdance is an olympic sport these days. So is skateboard. And surfing (come on, that´s also a crazy subculture LOL).
Why? Diversity? Nah, probably because it looks good on TV. In contrast to modern pentathlon, which despite being hyped by "Baron de Coubertin´s will" or whatever, is considered boring beyond belief.
So we´re all breaking this year! Note, btw, that the two "b-girl" finalists were White and Asian, respectively.
