Why the US won´t defend Taiwan

Pro-Chinese Alt Right blogger and Christian Nationalist Vox Day discusses why it´s extremely unlikely that the United States will defend Taiwan in the event of a full scale Chinese invasion. The short form is that the United States is no longer a credible military superpower, and in the throes of a severe economic, political and moral crisis.

And even apart from this, the United States will at best gain status quo if it goes to war with China over Taiwan, while the costs of defeat are much greater, including losing Chinese markets, ditto loans, global credibility, and political stability at home.

More peculiar arguments include the claim that the US military can´t function properly because of COVID vaccines.

Still, worth reading. A chilling perspective if you are like me, and think Taiwan is a more livable society than the latest incarnation of Red China...
