Nish the Fish was recently banned from YouTube under unclear circumstances. Something about a picture of Kali being too violent or too erotic?! So these days his videos are available on Patreon instead (but still for free).
Nish frankly talks too much, but if you can spare one hour and a half, you might glean some useful info from the video linked below. Somewhat surprisingly, Nish discusses...Caitanya and Gaudiya Vaishnavism! His "real" identity seems to be mix of Ramakrishna and the secret Tantric practices of Kashmir Shaivism.
Hinduism in Bengal always struck me as very syncretistic, and here we go again! Apparently, Caitanya´s companion (in the non-Tantric sense!) Nityananda is sometimes depicted as a Shaiva ascetic. And although Hare Krishnas probably don´t want to hear it, there is a striking similarity between Caitanya and Ramakrishna. Both were wild ecstatics and mystics. Ramakrishna was good at LARP-ing as an extreme Krishna bhakta.
Nish also mentions Shaivas who worship both Bhairava and Narasimha (reminds me of our old friend "Gnowly" who connects the Man-Lion to Shiva rather than Vishnu). There is also the phenomenon of Tantricized Advaita Vedanta. I believe I once linked to a video featuring Nepalese scholar Timalsina who said that strict Advaitin monks worshipped Kali during secret nocturnal rituals...
In the last portion of the video, Nish discusses mantras. These are supposed to be secret and only given through initiation, but these days you can find even the most secret ones on the web!
As I was sayin´, good luck to ya with this content.
