Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983: Controversy
In case you didn´t get it...Back in 1983, the ESC was a very "old fashioned" music contest. So this song was almost "punk" in that context. I didn´t know the jury groups in the Flamish contest may have selected it as a deliberate protest. Kind of fits the context. Also funny that it became a political issue in the Flamish regional parliament, LOL. The Belgians take their language conflicts very seriously...
