A very interesting article on Jesus´ parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus. The author argues that it may be a replacement theology narrative, with Lazarus symbolizing the Gentiles, while the Rich Man represents the Jews.
However, the parable also has a clear social message, since the sin of the Rich Man seems to have been precisely the fact that he was rich!
Another theory I´ve heard (from a Christian group that denies Hell) is that the parable is about Caiaphas and his family. Regardless, the piece is well worth reading.
