An interesting contribution on Pancharatra, the Agamic or "Tantric" tradition within Vaishnavism. Argues that Pancharatra emerged in tandem with changes in the varna system about 2000 years ago, when the "low caste" shudras became more socially powerful and de facto controlled many Hindu temples.
Also mentions that Pancharatra is a complex ritual and meditative tradition, but the latter aspect in particular is no longer taught by many of its teachers, probably being deemed to difficult.
Note also that the Hindu acharya is actually a White Australian!
