Is it just me or has every "isolationist" Alt Right-ish influencer turned raging imperialista just hours after Trump attacked Venezuela and captured Maduro? Complete frauds. But perhaps I shouldn´t be surprised. After all, I´m old enough to remember when Trump dropped the MOAB (Mother Of All Bombs) on the Taliban in Afghanistan, making every MAGA supporter on Twitter cheer along.
Isolationism my ass.
So it´s imperialist war, then. To the bitter end.

Aren´t these guys supposed to be Russian assets? So why did they turn against the Russian ally Maduro? I mean, what´s the difference between Maduro and, say, Gaddafi or Bashar Assad? Did Moscow stop sending them its proverbial gold? So now they support Trump, whom they previously attacked for not releasing the Epstein Files. LOL! Complete frauds. Or maybe not. Perhaps they sense that the transatlantic link and the Western alliance (and the trans-pacific link?) will be severed in favor of Western Hemisphere hegemony. Which will still be in line with Russian interests. After all, that´s more important for Russia in the long run than having a foothold in the Americas (if forced to chose). Still, the turnaround is remarkable. All at once. Who gives them their marching orders?
ReplyDeleteI don´t see any comments from Tucker Carlson on the Venezuelan situation. Yet, he has previously criticized "regime change" in Venezuela and even said things which could be interpreted as support for Maduro! And Tucker is obviously pro-Russian.
ReplyDeleteTrump, as crazed lunatic, thinks he can repossess the oil infrastructure and "Make America Great Again" by stealing it out from under Venezuelan noses. Next up, Cuba and Greenland. He's just following his Big Buddy Putin and grabbing what he can before he's dead! I predict (again) T won't last to the end of his term in office. He's a sick man, not only in the head.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, I´m neither an isolationist nor a Western Hemisphere hegemonist. I´m more of a reluctant transatlanticist.
ReplyDeleteOops, didn´t see your comment. He certainly didn´t look well during his presser at Mar-a-Lago. And Rubio looked very impatient when standing right beside him. A very strange scene!
ReplyDeleteSo Tucker finally broke his radio silence...by posting a two-hour long interview with Mike Cernovich?! OK, maybe I´ll watch it.
