Stupid games

Most improbable explanation?

Richard Carrier on the war path again. Well, I disagree. But good luck with this material!

Christians vs atheists: What are we actually arguing about?

  1. I think people, including myself, never actually sit down and ask oneself "What do I actually 'Believe' in?" I mean I grew up with a vague notion the Jesus was resurrected etc. as part of social conditioning. But i'm not going to enforce that notion on anyone else or bonk them on the head about it, asserting it is right beyond all doubt. I do think a system of belief held communally helps establish societal cohesion and actually is a benefit to social survival. That Carrier and other independent thinkers push the envelope is also a benefit to social cohesion in that by questioning the "norm" they broaden our scope of experienced reality and hopefully help society reach communal harmony so we can stop killing each other!
