Thelma and Louise R trance

Credit: San José Public Library

I occasionally check up on far left groups I remember from my younger days (mostly the 1990´s in these cases), and I must say that surprisingly few things have changed. Except that the *fire* is gone, the various outfits mostly going through the motions at this point.

The Spartacist League still defends pederasty and loves Nina Hartley´s lezbo porn. The Bolshevik Tendency still argues over when exactly the Spartacist League became indefensible. David North´s faithful still pretend that the apocalypse is just around the next corner. Socialist Action (USA) are still pretending to be the badass hard Trots while really being like everyone else. And the official Fourth International are still hardly even being here (nor there)!

But sure, a few things *have* changed, for instance that the RCP-USA endorsed Joe Biden, the SWP-USA endorses nuclear power and Israel´s right to exist, or that the Sparts have become pro-Quebecois. Not sure if that counts as an endorsement, though!

And then there´s the Freedom Socialist Party, the first feminist-Trotskyist party in the world, and their all-purpose front and double Radical Women. Still deeply ensconced in Seattle, with a few supporters organizing the specially oppressed koalas in Aussie.

I´m pretty sure that when the FSP said "radical women", they meant "radical people born with uteri". If there ever was a group you´d expect to become TERFs, it´s the FSP! But nah, they defend drag queen story hour and believe that trans-women are women. So that´s that, then.

The link below goes to an extremely cringey FSP posting on their website, dealing with a somewhat different topic...

Maybe instead of dabbling in the Eurasian Great Game, the latter-day Thelma & Louise Brigade really should concentrate on West Coast identity politics?

Why support arms to Ukraine? The FSP´s answer
