"5 minutes with Dr Robert" is a recurring feature at the YouTube channel of Dr Robert Svoboda, an American follower of a Shaiva Tantra guru in India (allegedly an Aghori). Svoboda is also a practitioner of Ayurveda. In these videos, he discusses a topic I blogged about before: how to find your ishta-devata. And yes, he mentions Ganapati and the sweets...
One interesting thing is that Svoboda believes that Hindu-oriented spiritual seekers should also worship their kula-devata or "family deity", which very often might be Jesus! He doesn´t explain how to combine Hindu worship with Jesus ditto, however.
Maybe that takes more than five minutes?

ReplyDeleteOookay...han verkar tillräckligt gammal för att komma ihåg the Beatles. Tänk om det är medvetet? Alltså att han som ett slags vågat skämt uppkallat sig efter "knarkdoktorn" i Beatles´ låt? Hans guru sägs ju vara Aghori, en av de mer extrema sekterna inom hinduismen, så vem vet...
