I had to delete the previous version of this blog post, since it seems ChatGPT misidentified the god on the picture above. It´s probably Ayyappan, not some obscure seated form of Vishnu. But then, Ayyappan was supposedly the son of the male god Vishnu´s female avatar (!!!)...so there´s that.
