Hanuman is Shiva

The crazy globetrotter Dakota of Earth meets the Aghori...again!

In this clip, the "cannibal cult" is surprisingly clean-shaven when they open a Hanuman temple at 1AM in the night. I´m not even sure whether all persons shown are Aghori, or whether some may be "regular" Hanuman devotees (who often look like wrestlers since they *are*, well, wrestlers).

The puja turns out to be an interesting example of Hindu syncretism, since Hanuman is associated with Rama, an avatar of Vishnu. The Aghori, by contrast, are Shaivas. The solution to the conundrum? They see Hanuman (Rama´s foremost servant) as an incarnation of Shiva! The story is that Rama was a Shiva devotee, and that Shiva repaid him this way.

What happened after the puja was done is less clear, but I suppose it´s right back to the more endo-cannibalistic side of things...

  1. Ive been facinated by indian wrestlers for a long time. Much of their strength training is like dynamic yoga asanas made at an insanley hard tempo.
Indian wrestlers were probably the best in the world back in the days.
That probably had a lot to do with that they were only allowed to marry female relatives of other good wrestlers. A race of wrestlers were created over generations.
But the way they do/did calisthenis is very intresting and i belive their way of training have some benefitits not found in western strength training.

  3. He had to walk with two sticks after his prime, perhaps because he did 2000 hindu squats in one set every day:

His muscle build is really impressive, especially sice he did no weight lifting and steroids didnt exist yet.

But from experience i know the hindu squat is a great exerxise if done in moderation. Took a long while for me to learn it properly. Very hard for people not used to sitting in a squatting position.

  4. Interesting. Tried to read a scholarly article about Hindu wrestling once, but never finished it. So far, the closest thing I´ve come to the topic is this old blog post, which you have also commented:

  6. A reviewer said it wasnt anything about the actual remedies other than in the most generalized way.
Thats a shame. I igot really curious about ecactly what herbs(and perhaps more vile things) that are used.
I imagine the aghori have a vey rich and diverse(seriously, not diverse in THAT way) bacterial fllora.
For exampel rottening carcasses have mostly harmless and some beneficial bacteria in them. If your body is full of those strains, any harfull bacteria will have very hard competition when establishing itself in the gut.
There is even some research indicating that rich and diverse bacterial flora in humans lower the cancer risks from some of the mist toxic waste products.
In the most contaminated areas in russia people have insane levels of various cancers.
However, whitin those areas, there are places where cancer lvls are almost mormal. Its the places where people still ferments lots of their food.
And rottening carcasses are a form of fermented food. But i prefer saurkraut and kefir.
However, there could be special strains unique to carcasses.
I hope someone serioysly research what potential cures might exist amonh the aghori.
