Another senile article from The Militant. Sounds almost like Maoist propaganda along the lines of "By studying Mao Zedong Thought, we can cure all disease". Note that the article admits that there is in fact no cure for the Bundibugyo virus *and that capitalist corporations are trying to develop one*, yet still lands in the conclusion that sending Cuban doctors to the Congo would somehow stop the epidemic?!

How are these miracle workers going to stop the virus without a vaccine or other treatment? Maybe they can call down Prometheus...

Is this weird article some kind of mistake? The product of a senile mind, perhaps? Note that it identifies economic development with "capitalism" and reaches the conclusion that nobody should live at higher elevations in Nepal?! The article sounds almost primitivist, despite also (implicitly) denying climate change. The SWP (US) is becoming increasingly less coherent...

The Trump admin has apparently dropped its very last tranche of UFO-related documents. So that was that, then. Tranche 7 contains no videos, and deals to a large extent with defense contractor Robert Bigelow´s attempts to obtain hard UFO evidence from the US military. In other words, we´re dealing with an earlier version of today´s push for disclosure. 

As far as I understand, the activities of BAASS has been known for quite some time now. I mean, some of them are mentioned on Wikipedia! Note the piquant fact that Bigelow obtained 22 million dollars in federal funding thanks to support from a high-ranking politician, Senator Harry Reid. Despite this, very little seems to have come out of the project (except a still classified database of UFO observations...), probably because of opposition from anti-disclosure / anti-UFO factions within the CIA, et cetera. 

Interesting, to be sure, but it also means that the entire Trump Disclosure ends pretty much were it started. I mean, I assume the disclosure (such as it is) is the result of the pro-UFO faction very temporarily getting the upper hand. Unless, of course, "they are all in on it". Or manipulated by forces higher up. 

OK, it´s been a fun distraction, but I assume we know have to resume our regular programming...

En av flera orsaker till att "vänster"regeringen föll för fyra år sedan var de höga elpriserna. Som högerregeringen har haft fyra år på sig att lösa. Och såklart inte löst. Och nu är det dags igen. Kommer en eventuell ny vänsterregering att lösa dem istället? Nej, för de behöver stöd från MP. Som gillar höga elpriser. Cuz reasons. Och säkert av andra orsaker också.

War winter

Russia allegedly is going to demand of the USA that NATO expells all its post-Cold War member-nations. Obviously, no US administration will agree to such a demand. Not even the Trump rump. And if they do agree, the real decision will just be postponed and then nullified by the next admin. 

The Russians must know this. So why aren´t they raising more realistic demands? Say, the Donbass and Odessa. Or the lifting of sanctions. The whole thing resembles the bizarre Russian ultimatum from late 2021, when they essentially demanded that the United States dissolves NATO altogether and leave Europe. I assumed at the time that this was some kind of weird opening move in a game of negotiations which would end more realistically. In demanding, say, the Donbass or the lifting of sanctions...

Instead, Russia started the deadliest war in Europe since World War II. 

The most "rational" explanation for the above is that Russia is consciously playing a long game. They are banking on the Western alliance to split. If not now, maybe by 2030? Or 2035, perhaps? In the meanwhile, they will grind down Ukraine as much possible. Hence, no peace. But there is of course another possibility: Putin has painted himself into a corner and doesn´t know how to end the war. Not even on terms favorable to the Russian Federation. 

Are we witnessing some kind of very deadly "game of chicken"? The Western alliance might absolutely split. Or it might be weakened by the next economic crisis. But about Russia? As of now, four years into the conflict, they clearly can´t defeat NATO. Or even Ukraine!

Unless something very dramatic happens in Moscow very soon, I´m not optimistic...
