I actually wondered about this myself. Sure, the British monarch has no effective power anymore, but since the Brits are high on formalities, I wondered if the split in the Anglican Communion could still impact him in some embarrassing way. But it seems the monarch is just a rubber stamp these days for decisions taken by the Church of England itself. So nah, Charles neither can nor will do anything.
Note also that the king is only the Supreme Governor of the specifically English Church, not the Anglican Communion as a whole. According to Wiki, he´s not even the head of the Anglican Church in Scotland!
Everything is well in the world. Or no?
