John Michael Greer continues his Schopenhaueresque analysis of Wagner´s magna opera (pun intended). But he misses one point: Fabian socialism, ahem, worked for about 100 years...
Fabian socialism is essentially Social Democracy with the German Marxist verbiage filed off. In other words, British Labourism. Perhaps it can also be seen as "the socialism of Crassus" as opposed to "the socialism of Caesar"? Not sure where the Russians fall on this scale. The socialism of Caligula?
