Juggernaut
Not sure why, but for some reason I find these ISKCON-related pics featuring Jagannath ("Juggernaut") extremely funny. Punks not dead?
Funny in a sort of childish way. But whats the point of worshipping the "Juggernaut"? A remuinder of that some societal develepoments and othe grand scale processes are unstopable so that you plan your life and projects accordingly? Or do people worshipping the Juggernaut expect to get some special favours? "Please Lord Juggernaut, spare me and my cliosest from The destruktion of your otherwise unstoppable processes"?
No idea, it seems to be a pan-Hindu deity everyone interprets best they can. The ISKCON worship Jagannath since he is seen by many as a form of Krishna. Apparently, Caitanya lived in Puri and led devotees in worship of the idol.
