"The Grayzone" is an extreme left-wing site (almost Stalinistic) with a range of political positions I hotly disagree with. To be put it somewhat mildly. Still, Max Blumenthal´s article on BreadTube is nevertheless interesting. 

Blumenthal and his co-writer Kit Klarenberg argue that a clique of British-employed disinfo operatives who previously promoted the Islamist rebels in Syria (who are supported by certain Western factions) have now been weaponized by the UK government through various front groups to counter...COVID restriction critics! 

Note that many of the people involved claim to be leftists (think "decent left" or something like that) and belong to a social media network known as BreadTube. The BreadTubers are especially interested in attacking anti-lockdown and vaccine-skeptical leftists such as Jimmy Dore and, I suppose, Blumenthal himself. The uncritical support from many on the left to the COVID restrictions - including the most crazy ones - have baffled me for two years now. Why would the left support locking down the entire working class, smashing the economy of the Global South, and forcing Third World immigrants to take vaccines astroturfed by Donald Trump? 

The article linked below reveals an aspect of the situation I wasn´t aware of before. The lockdown leftists are quite literally getting paid by Boris Johnson´s Tory government! Or at the very least by structures associated with the UK government bureaucracy (whoever is in government at the moment). BreadTube are getting their daily bread from "imperialists" and "capitalists" they pretend to be fighting...

Wtf? Is the establishment hedging their bets on the vaccines? Jimmy Dore discusses an article in the New York Times (behind a pay wall) published on December 23, admitting that some scientists regard boosters as potentially dangerous! 

I have no idea whether this is true or not (most official authorities would say it isn´t). My point, rather, is that a mainline news outlet par excellence is now admitting that there are different opinions, or perhaps factions, within the scientific community over the issue. 

Note, however, that the article is about Israel, not the United States, and that the NYT (of course) supports (or pretends to still support) the pro-booster (established) viewpoint. 

The grizzly toll of lockdown capitalism

 

500 million more people, mostly in the Global South, has been forced into poverty by the COVID pandemic. Or perhaps because of the Global North *response* to the COVID pandemic? 

Leftist gadflies Jimmy Dore and Max Blumenthal argues that the lockdowns of the international economy, imposed by the globalist establishment in the rich Western nations, are collapsing the economies of the "Third World". Immunization campaigns against other diseases have been scrapped, many nations have become heavily indebted to the IMF (again), and poverty is spreading even in nations that are considered "Middle Income", where people who recently escaped poverty are falling back again. The education system in places like Uganda has been devastated by two years of lockdown, with the students being forced to work for a living (they can´t "chill in the metaverse", as Blumenthal puts it). 

All this was *predicted* by the UN already in April last year, yet nothing has been done to solve the situation. By our "woke" leftoid elites, I might add. 

The leftist case against Fauci

 

Leftist gadfly Jimmy Dore and Max Blumenthal discuss the Great Barrington Declaration and Anthony Fauci´s attempts to suppress the declaration´s criticism of the hard lockdown policy. More evidence that the whole thing is about politics (and political control), and not about "pandemic response". 

Dore and Blumenthal also mention the weird fact that leftists and progressives so uncritically support Fauci and the pro-lockdown establishment faction.

The link below goes to an article from Newsweek - a mainline media outlet - arguing in favor of a supposed "conspiracy theory": the claim that Anthony Fauci´s US government agency funded dangerous "gain-of-function" research on COVID viruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China. You know, the same Wuhan were the COVID pandemic actually started...

Note the source of the claim: documents obtained by another media outlet, the Intercept, by filing a FOIA request. In other words, the Fauci people didn´t want the paperwork to become public. 

If and when Fauci becomes the Biden administration´s "fall guy" for everything that went wrong with the COVID pandemic response, this will suddenly become the new orthodoxy on Facebook!

2022 begins in full force with some fiery but mostly peaceful protests in Amsterdam, the de facto capital of the Netherlands. I´m sure this is perfectly normal in a stabile and healthy Western democracy...  

PS. Even Wikipedia admits that a 5,000-strong BLM protest in Amsterdam *during the 2020 lockdown* wasn´t stopped by the mayor "fearing riots". The woke virus apparently only spreads during politically incorrect protests...
