Going up in smoke

 

The first clip argues that the Jehovah´s Witness organization is "going up in smoke". You preach it, brother! The reasons are less clear. Perhaps the lockdowns during the COVID pandemic made it more difficult for the Elders to micro-manage the membership, prompting all the lukewarm elements to just leave after the crisis was over? It seems that many Kingdom Halls in the US and the UK are closing. 

The second clip cites statistics which show that many Jehovah´s Witnesses are uneducated females with low incomes. In the US, Whites seem to be a minority of the membership. Yet, every time I see a JW leader on YouTube, it´s always a White guy!

I never liked the JW´s, so if this particular sect goes bye-bye, that would be one distinctly positive aspect of the corona crisis...
