Brain rot
The article "The Amazing Atheist" is referencing is linked below. Here is a crazy idea I just got into my own plastic-infected brain: could *this* be the cause behind the explosion of autism in kids? Or did that happen too early?
Could certainly be one of many causes We have so much crap in our environment these days. And there is the common thing in Sweden with veiled pregnant somali women getting too little sun light and that often makes the kid autistic. Among Somalis aitism is even called "the Swedish disease".

Yes, and probably food-related, too. Presumably some kind of food in Somalia compensates for them being veiled there.
