Is The Guardian trolling its readers? I assumed this left-liberal rag in the UK supported trans-genderism? What am I missing here?
Yeah, tear the birth certificate up and start over. Sounds bogus from the get go. Any other media outlets reporting same? Or the couple themselves just looking for their 15 minutes of fame.
The whole story is strange, to be sure. The article says that while the birth certificate as such can´t be changed, they can add a correction in the margin. There could be legit reasons why a birth certificate can´t be changed en toto, a bit like you can´t change book-keeping in hindsight, except by a special correction! Still, weird that such a thing even happens...
