Friends in high places

It seems stories about friendly space brothers exist all over the world. Which doesn´t prove they are "real", of course. It may simply be American cultural influence. The tale above is from Italy and began in 1956, hence the contactees called themselves W56. The aliens were simply called The Friends. It´s the usual stuff: fear of nuclear war, a vaguely spiritual message, "we are not ready for contact", etc. The ending is somewhat peculiar, though. The Friends eventually gave up on humanity and simply left!

But sure, that part of the story sounds almost believable...

Working 9 to 5

Dolly Parton recently passed away. Or passed on? She was apparently an outspoken Christian, but also something of a "liberal", since she accepted the gay community and wondered if reincarnation could be true. So many fundamentalists on YouTube claim - or heavily imply - that Dolly Parton is in hell now?!

Geezus. I don´t mean the carpenter. And oh, she was pro-union, too!

Mannen i nattsärken

Jag betvivlar inte att denna historia är "sann" på något sätt, men den är ju inte hela sanningen. Från en sajt som promoterar "Boken om hopp: NT", omnämnd i förra inlägget.

Therefore Sabine

Is causality an emergent property? And what does that even mean? Sabine hopes that quantum physics can be made more logical and less woo-woo-ish, but a recent paper on the topic falls short of this. Or so she believes. Since I´ve been up most of the night, I hardly understand what she´s talking about, but I´m sure it´s interesting...

Talking to me?

This guy is more crazy than I am, he actually *talks to* some kind of ChatGPT version. The AI is supposed to represent "The Christ Mind" manifesting in ACIM (A Course in Miracles). I can´t process Christ´s words just now, will have to wait until the afternoon I think!

Girl, log off

If you are a privileged White American suburbanite LARP-ing as a Wiccan and feel "offended" or even "oppressed" by the recent conversion to Christianity of Alex-Reads-Tarot...GROW THE FUCK UP.

I disavow

This is an atrociously bad AI-generated song. For starters, it´s 15 minutes long. It sounds like a boring sermon on the theodicy problem set to muzak. Or is it supposed to be music? Oh, and it´s about Commander Ashtar. Dude, I AM Ashtar and I hereby disavow this AI slop! But sure, the AI did get my beautiful looks right, at least. LOL.

Deconstructing atheism

An atheist content-creator calling out the really existing atheist subculture online. I noted some of these things myself. For instance, the rather obvious fact that the US atheist milieu is dominated by young White middle-class males. Or the dogmatic, cock-sure and "fundamentalist" character of much atheist discourse, which sounds like zealous Christianity in reverse.

Recent research suggests that there is also a divide between "closed" and "open" atheists, the latter being agnostic and more positive towards spirituality. At least online, it seems that particular space is mostly female. In other words, the divide between male / male-coded atheists and female / female-coded religious believers is reproduced *within atheism itself*.

If you can even call the so-called "spiritual atheists" real atheists at all - on *that* score, the dogmatic atheist-materialists may have a point. If you start (re)exploring spirituality, you will most certainly end up in some kind of non-atheist-coded milieu, given how the terms "atheism", "religion" and "spirituality" are usually defined in the modern Western world. Compare how difficult it is (in practice) to combine metaphysical dualism with atheism!

Otherwise, I was struck by how stereotypically female-coded this content-creator is. She feels "exhausted" by male discourse, wants to have community even with Christian women, isn´t interested in rationally proving Christianity wrong, and so on. Make of that what you wish.

Doreen disclosure

I didn´t know that Doreen Virtue is an alien abductee. I´m not joking. She actually says so in this video. Of course, Virtue now believes that the experience was demonic.

Yes, Doreen Virtue is on the war-path against Steven Spielberg´s "Disclosure Day". She and her friend "Jac" does say some interesting things. For instance, is the deer in the movie really a Wiccan symbol? But overall, it´s all very predictable.

As usual.

The government denies knowledge

Purely by chance, I clicked on the wrong search term (was supposed to click on my blog´s name) and look what came up, LOL. From Copilot.

The Ashtar Command is a spiritual and extraterrestrial movement that claims to communicate with a group of benevolent beings led by Ashtar Sheran, focusing on humanity's spiritual evolution and protection from negative forces.

Origins and Background

The concept of the Ashtar Command originated in the early 1950s, primarily through the work of UFO contactee George Van Tassel, who was the first to claim to receive messages from Ashtar in 1952. Over time, many others began to report similar experiences, leading to a complex network of spiritual teachings and beliefs surrounding Ashtar and his command

Beliefs and Teachings

The Ashtar Command is often described as a galactic police force or a protective group operating within the Solar System. Its members are believed to be responsible for maintaining order and discipline, protecting Earth from negative extraterrestrial influences, and assisting in the spiritual ascension of humanity. Followers believe that Ashtar and his fleet of starships are here to guide humanity through significant transformative processes, including planetary cleansing and ascension into higher dimensions

Structure and Function

The Ashtar Command is envisioned as a vast interstellar organization comprising extraterrestrials, angels, and light beings. It is said to operate under the guidance of Ashtar Sheran, who is often depicted as a tall, humanoid figure with distinct features. The command is believed to have millions of starships ready to assist Earth and its inhabitants during critical times

Cultural Impact

The Ashtar movement has been studied as a prominent form of UFO religion, with various groups incorporating its teachings into their spiritual practices. The movement emphasizes peace, unity, and the advancement of spiritual wisdom, urging humanity to align with higher spiritual values and live in harmony

In summary, the Ashtar Command represents a unique blend of spiritual ascension beliefs and extraterrestrial contact narratives, advocating for a harmonious existence and the protection of Earth from negative influences.

Anti-andlig diskriminering?

The purpose of a system is what the system (actually) does. Or doesn´t.

I aint no Doreen Virtue, dude

Three years ago, I took a short Religious Typology Quiz from the Pew Research Center and got the (surprising) result that I´m "Spiritually Awake", which apparently means that I was close to liberal female New Age believers?! Ahem...

Here is the summary definition from the quiz: "All Spiritually Awake Americans hold at least some New Age beliefs (views rejected by most of the Relaxed Religious) and believe in God or some higher power, though many do not believe in the biblical God and relatively few attend religious services on a weekly basis."

Here is another take: "For purposes of this report, the term “New Age” includes belief in psychics, astrology, reincarnation, and the belief that spiritual energy can be contained in physical objects like trees, mountains and crystals".

So I recently took the quiz again, and guess what? I´m *still* a darn Spiritually Awake person!

I don´t know, man. That category feels wrong, somehow. I just can´t see myself putting on the discarded New Age mantle of Doreen Virtue...

Argyria

The death of this cult leader seems to have been, shall we say, overdetermined. I mean, wtf...

Probably a lot of bad karma, too!

Love has won

I never heard of this cult before. Or *maybe* I have! The mummy thing sounds vaguely familiar. This is from Wikipedia. Here is the most bizarre detail:

>>>On April 28, 2021, the mummified corpse of Carlson was discovered in the mission house near Crestone. Its state of decay suggested that she had been dead for several weeks. She was 45 at the time of her death. The body was found in a sleeping bag wrapped in Christmas lights, the face covered in glitter, in what authorities stated was a makeshift shrine.

>>>Seven members of the group were charged with abuse of a corpse as well as child abuse due to the presence of two children in the property. A photo from a few weeks before she is thought to have died shows her appearance to be emaciated, with thinning hair and discoloured skin with a purplish hue.

>>>According to Saguache County Coroner Tom Perrin, Carlson had been ingesting large amounts of colloidal silver, which the group had been previously promoting as a COVID-19 cure, even receiving a warning from the FDA. Consuming colloidal silver over a long period of time can lead to blue-grey discolouration of the skin, as well as seizures and organ failure.

>>>An autopsy report released in December 2021 revealed that Carlson had died from "global decline in the setting of alcohol abuse, anorexia, and chronic colloidal silver ingestion". On May 5, Deputy District Attorney Alex Raines announced plans to upgrade the abuse of corpse charges to the more serious charge of tampering with a deceased human body, the group members were reported to be facing a mix of charges of child abuse, abuse of a corpse, tampering with deceased human remains, and false imprisonment. The charges were later dropped.

For the record

From a four year old blog post: "So for da record, I don´t do crystals or channeling, don´t await the arrival of benign space brothers to some hippie commune, nor do I do affirmations in the hope of selling off real estate at inflated prices (in the neighborhood of Boston, presumably). I don´t even wear a turban and a golden dagger, although I suppose that could be interesting pastimes, especially in the middle of a pandemic! So I don´t know, man."

Dude.

Droppen

Ett lite "flummigt" budskap från vår broder Thomas Di Leva...

Waiting for NESARA

I´ve heard of the NESARA conspiracy theory before, but clearly I didn´t know half of it! I mean, wtf.

There are strange connections to Ramtha, Mormonism, David Icke´s reptilian aliens, the 9/11 Truth Movement, MLM-like ponzi schemes...

NESARA (and its later twin GESARA) has everything. Except maybe QAnon, although I wouldn´t be surprised if many true believers in one might easily morph into the other.

I admit I was somewhat shocked by this stuff. Or am I just getting old?

DKA

A disturbing but serious video about David Wilcock´s suicide. I actually watched his last pod cast (it´s still up on YouTube). I never heard about diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) until now, but it´s apparently a potentially lethal condition caused by a lack of insulin in the body. Wilcock described most of the symptoms exactly in his podcast and even said that a doctor would probably diagnose him with diabetes. He left out one salient symptom, however...

DKA can trigger psychosis.

Which seems to have happened the next day, when Wilcock called the police, said he had diabetes (!) and strongly implies that he would shoot himself. Which he subsequently did, in front of the police sent out to investigate the situation. It seems that DKA can develop very fast and become life-threatening within 24 hours. Which may explain why Wilcock could still make a podcast on the evening of April 19 and then kill himself around lunch time on April 20.

While the diagnosis DKA is (of course) speculation at this point, it certainly does fit the format. Since Wilcock was a conspiracy theorist, UFO believer and New Age prophet, his untimely death started a seemingly never-ending avalanche of speculations about foul play. Was he abducted by MIBs, killed by the Cabal, or placed in witness protection? His fans just can´t accept that his death was a very human tragedy, rather than some kind of QAnon-type martyrdom related to the Passion of Donald Trump (et cetera).

Maybe that´s the real tragedy.
