Mystification

This is some kind of silly mystification which feels so 1970´s (or earlier). 30 years ago, the creators of conspiracist TV series "Dark Skies", Zabel and Friedman, were contacted by a mysterious character just called JC from US Naval Intelligence. He gave them a sheet of paper containing "the secrets of the Universe" and told them to stash it away in a safety deposit box for 10 to 15 years. It remained there for three decades but have now been published at some alternative-inclined website.

Yeah, OK.

It seems the "secret" is a badly scribbled version of the seven chakras and the three kundalini-related energy channels, probably in a Golden Dawn or Theosophy version. In other words, nothing new. Standard Western esotericism freely based on Indian yoga. Indeed, the diagram could be based on a garbled memory of the cover of a book by Israel Regardie!  Note also that the initials "JC" sound familiar somehow. Could it be Jesus Christ? ChatGPT claims that it´s indeed a standard abrreviation for the Christian Redeemer in Rosicrucian works...

And Friedman apparently practiced kundalini yoga.

If mysticism is your thing, maybe the chakras can be used to reach higher levels of Spirit. But it seems mysticism always have to be marketed through mystification...

Isis of 10,000 names

Doreen Virtue´s friend "Jac" talks about her experiences in the Golden Dawn, or rather a modern American version of this 19th century British esoteric order. "Jac" later became a Christian fundamentalist, so don´t expect any objectivity. Put somewhat mildly.

But...

When I listened to this video, I couldn´t help noticing the parallels between the Golden Dawn system (or this particular version of it) and certain forms of Tantrism. The masculine and the feminine must be balanced, the only way to worship a deity is to *become* the deity, Isis is a symbol of primordial matter (among other things), complex rituals are important and yes, it´s all secret (or nearly so).

Wtf, I love Golden Dawn now.

Alien addiction

I recently linked to a video in which Doreen Virtue and her friend Jac discussed (and attacked) Steven Spielberg´s recent film "Disclosure Day". In that video, Virtue claims to have had an alien abduction experience as a child! In the video linked above (from two years ago), Virtue says that she isn´t sure whether it was a dream or a real experience. However, in the more recent video, she seems to be suggesting that it was real but (of course) demonic (not literal aliens).

About half of the 2024 video is all the usual fundamentalist Christian pep talk (I´ll get back to it in a moment). The other half is more interesting. For instance, Virtue talks about her involvement with controversial ufologist Steven Greer. Apparently, she partially financed his movie "Sirius". During her New Age period, Virtue used to believe that she was a mermaid from Sirius (!!) and would even pray to the Dog Star. Jac assumed she was from Orion, was into Alternative Egypt, Golden Dawn ritual magic, Crowley and so on. Sure, her experiences (or delusions?) do sound disturbing and "demonic". But...

Isn´t the fundamentalist Christian worldview both Virtue and Jac have adopted equally disturbing? First, the demons seem extremely powerful. They can manifest or create physical objects, including cars and buses. And perhaps UFOs? Indeed, their deception is literally everywhere. Second, God seems strangely aloof. Why didn´t God stop the demons from attacking Doreen Virtue *when she was an innocent child*? Or Jac for that matter. Why doesn´t God show himself to people during near-death experiences? Instead, the evil spirits seem to have full control over all or most NDEs!

And if you don´t believe in Christ - in the right way - you will end up in "the lake of fire" and be tormented forever, vividly described by Virtue at one point in the video. A scenario which simply becomes worse when the oblivious nature of God is taken into account.

It´s almost as if Virtue and Jac have just replaced one delusion with another one. Delusion. Or deception...

OK, Professor Langdon

This was actually quite interesting. An "occult" analysis of church architecture, arguing that it´s really a form of magic. Could very well be true. What kind of "magick" the content-creator practices is less clear. But he does reference the Golden Dawn and, ahem, a certain Crowley...

It´s over

He looked like such a nice guy. Has Father Eleftheria finally lost it? Too much Messiah complex and Gog-Magog end times stuff in this one. Hopefully the apocalyptic stuff is just click bait.

I suppose we´ll know when our man passes his "last spiritual test" in two weeks, during the Easter holidays. Stay tuned. Because, you know, we´ll all be here post-Easter, too!

None dare call it magick

Is this what you see when doing Enochian magick?

The 40 ethers

OK, this was actually quite interesting. The Golden Dawn-adjacent esotericist down under who calls himself Frater Eleftheria discusses what kind of experiences you can expect when practicing "Enochian magick" according to the system developed by John Dee and Edward Kelley (the notorious 16th century ritual magicians).

The system is mostly "internal" and brings changes to your consciousness, which can sometimes be rather powerful. Thus, Eleftheria managed to temporarily cure his melancholy as a teenager by invoking the angel of Jupiter. An original pastime for a 17-year old! That being said, the visions seen when scrying (for instance in a crystal ball) are regarded as objective. The soul really does peer into an alternate reality in which angels freely roam. Eleftheria claims that different mages often get the same visions independently of each other.

Dee´s and Kelley´s "48 calls" give you access to the "40 ethers". They look like barren landscapes on another planet and are filled with Enochian angels who often take bizarre forms: abstract geometric shapes, lots of wings and lots of eyes. Think the meme "Biblically accurate angel". I was reminded of the scene in "Watchmen" where Doctor Manhattan flies around Mars in a very strange space craft! The point of the exercise is frankly less clear, except that the angels will give you some kind of information which will bring about a positive change in your consciousness...

Still, an intriguing look at a rather unusual spiritual technique.

Don´t try this at home, kids

Literally. But our man doesn´t *actually* show how to contact the angels. In another video, incense and candles are part of the ritual. Perhaps triggering an alternate state of consciousness? Think smoke, heat and smell. Also, invocations based on the Bible or various apocryphal text are read before the magical work begins. And one of the angels conjured is related to Abaddon a.k.a. Apollyon...

You have been warned.

The etheric invasion

The Australian esotericist who calls himself Frater Eleftheria discusses the implications of the "UAPs" (he means the UFO phenomenon) and the (alleged) disclosure in progress. People familiar with contactees, Ascended Masters and channeling will see a family likeness. So will those interested in ancient aliens.

Eleftheria argues that the fiery pillars and mysterious clouds often mentioned in the Bible in conjunction with supernatural happenings are actually UFOs. These clouds are further associated with the Second Advent of Christ. Lights in the sky as harbingers of the end times are also mentioned in the Zohar.

The "aliens" will soon reveal themselves, and my impression is that they are really angelic teachers of humanity. The same angelic teachers who for centuries "came through" during various esoteric rituals. They will not demand worship. Quite the contrary, their appearence will herald the end of humanity´s spiritual immaturity, during which we trusted in "gods" to help us.

I admit that this all sounds too good to be true, and although it´s not a literal end-of-the-world message, it still stands in the same tradition of apocalyptic prophecies. Which all have one thing in common: they didn´t come to pass. Neither will these speculations. In fact, it´s more likely that we´ll get a kind of secular "apocalypse". In fact, we´re probably in it as we speak! Which, I suppose, could be seen as ironic.

As for the disclosure, I don´t rule anything out, but my cynical side says it´s just disinformation to cover up all the usual secret test flights. And if it´s real, "They" will shut it down one of these days or refuse to follow it up. See: Epstein files.

The Age of Aquarius is ruled by Saturn.

Cosmic orgasm (pardon my French)

So the "Great Arcanum" - the biggest secret - of Western esotericism is sex magic? OK, whatever, I´m out of here...

A message from Metatron

Does this guy still have a job, I wonder? I didn´t watch to the end, but stuff like this can and have been misunderstood many times before in history.

The claim is that the border between the heavenly and the earthly realms is very thin during Halloween, which gives us a chance to communicate with the Metatron and other angelic intelligences "over the next 7 to 10 days". But since many people associate Halloween with demons rather than hallowed saints or angels, the entire ritual could be taken by some to be Satanic!

Note also that the US presidential elections are "within the next 7 to 10 days"...

The wisdom of Solomon

Lifting the Lamp explains the basics of Solomonic magic. I assumed stuff like this was supposed to be secret?

The system apparently includes both instructions to contact demons, ambivalent spirits and good angels. Hmmm...so how do we *know* that the angels are really the good guys?

Most funny detail: the containers used to trap the demons and force them to do the magician´s bidding! You can see one in the thumbnail above.

Not exactly my path, but still quite interesting...

N.I.C.E. Satanists

A kind of sequel to the anti-Satanist videos from the YouTube channel Lifting the Lamp. Also discusses the relationship between Christianity and esotericism.

The hoax of LaVeyan Satanism

Or perhaps not, since it seems that Anton Szandor LaVey *did* live as he learned...but at the expense of his own membership! I haven´t seen the original interview with Zeena Schreck (it´s two hours long), but these comments from Australian esotericist and former OTO member Frater Eleftheria are interesting. And yes, Schreck is LaVey´s daughter!

Hell is capitalism

Something of a disappointment, but maybe this content-creator is afraid of YouTube censorship.

The idea that capitalism, elitism and Social Darwinism are "Satanist" are hardly original. Also, Skull & Bones and Bohemian Grove - while vaguely sinister - are hardly *that* important in the bigger conspiratorial scheme of things.

Ahem, what about Epstein Island?

Here´s a hot take: what if the worst conspirators in the world *aren´t* into dark magick, Satanism and stuff like that. They just try to serve "Christ" and "Mammon" at the same time...

Nothing is true, everything is permitted

The pros and cons of Chaos Magick. A quite serious discussion by a ritual magician who is mostly into the Golden Dawn tradition. If you believe in magic, that is!

The answer is obvious

Can´t resist taking a screen-shot of this. "Dealing with haters". If you look like Damien, just show yourself! :D

Test the demons

Anonymous Australian occultist on the YouTube channel "Lifting the Lamp" responds to some bad reactions to another video upload of his, in which he discussed demons. You would think the critical viewers considered Mr Lamp to be too positive towards demons. You would be wrong.

They actually accused him of being too negative?! Which just confirms what other Neo-Pagans and occultists have said on other fora: demonolatry seem to be in fashion these days. That being said, Mr Lamp isn´t entirely dismissive of his demon-friendly critics. There is *some* truth even in demonolatry, the demons of “his” magical system not always being 100% evil evilly beings á la Satan. However, even the “best” demons – which can help you with material gain – are negative in the end, since they keep you chained to the material world with all its desires, desires which ultimately cannot be fulfilled (Mr Lamp admits that some people might find his argument “Buddhist” or “Gnostic” here). Many other demons are simply deceitful or indeed evil, and if you don´t trust people, why would you trust a demon?

Some of Lamp´s critics regard demons as simply the old pagan gods, who have been literally demonized by the Christian Church. Some also accuse him of being brainwashed by Christianity (Lamp is a former Catholic). His answer to the former is that many pagan gods weren´t particularly nice or ethical, so why have dealings with them? Humanity should outgrow them. As for being programmed by Christianity, Lamp points out that he was a member of the Crowleyan OTO for over a decade. Judging by his other videos, he then took up “Enochian Magic” and Golden Dawn ditto, which indeed have Christian undertones, but he doesn´t seem to regard this as negative. Christ is a real being coming through when you do white magic.

Yet other critics charged Lamp with being too “dualist”. In a sense, he admits that he is indeed such. There are negative forces and beings who wish you harm in the cosmos, while others want to elevate you to higher states. If that´s dualist, so be it. Mr Lamp doesn´t rule out that angels or “devas” might develop material attachments and fall, nor that demons might sometimes ascend (he mentions a mage who could release such beings of their suffering). However, this doesn´t really disprove dualism, since the entities involved chose between Light and Darkness.

The content-creator also reveals that he carried out a demonic ritual himself in order to face down the demons, called “the four princes of evil”, and says that he “may or may not” do a video about it. Who knows, maybe that will make his critics go away…

Nothing behind the veil?

I honestly don´t understand why people would like God to be "Nothingness" or "Nothing", not even metaphorically speaking. I mean, dude, wazza point?

And why *that* particular metaphor? Rather than, say, the metaphor of a mysterious person hiding in the endless night...
