Alltså vill man undvika frågan.
Det är således bättre att inmundiga importerade jordgubbar plockade av slavarbetare i utlandet. Åtminstone om man är socialdemokrat.
Eller?
A kind of sequel to my blog post "God´s suicide". Efilism is an extreme form of anti-natalism and sounds either like trolling or like an "intellectualized" version of a clinical depression! I suppose you could call it "the philosophy of a school shooter"...
What is "efilism"?
Efilism is a radical philosophical position that argues that sentient life is inherently negative and should be brought to an end.
The term was coined by the YouTube philosopher and activist Gary Mosher (known online as Inmendham).
While it shares DNA with Antinatalism, Efilism goes much further in its scope and its "solution" to suffering.
Efilism is rooted in a hard-materialist view of biology.
Sentience is a trap: Nature is described as an "asymmetrical" system where pain is far more intense and frequent than pleasure.
The DNA Scam: Efilists believe that biological life is simply a "meat-machine" controlled by DNA. DNA has no consciousness or morality; it just wants to replicate itself. Humans and animals are merely the "vehicles" used by DNA to continue its existence, regardless of how much suffering that replication causes.
No Purpose: Since there is no God or cosmic plan, all the "blood, sweat, and tears" of evolution are for nothing—they serve only to produce more entities capable of feeling pain.
It is important to distinguish between these two, as they are often confused:
| Feature | Antinatalism | Efilism |
| Scope | Mostly focused on human reproduction. | Focuses on all sentient life (animals, insects, etc.). |
| Main Argument | The "Consent" argument (you can't ask a baby if they want to be born). | The "Suffering" argument (the biology of sensation is a design flaw). |
| The Goal | Humans should stop having children. | All sentient life should be "liquidated" to stop the cycle of pain. |
Efilists often use a hypothetical scenario called the "Red Button":
If there was a button that could instantly and painlessly delete all sentient life in the universe, would you press it?
An Efilist would answer "Yes." They argue that pressing the button is the ultimate act of mercy because it prevents the trillions of years of future suffering that would otherwise occur in the animal kingdom and human history. By deleting life, you "solve" the problem of pain permanently.
Efilism can be seen as a modern, "digital-age" version of older pessimistic traditions:
Mainländer’s Legacy: Like Philipp Mainländer, Efilists see the universe as a tragic mistake that should move toward non-existence.
Negative Utilitarianism: This is the branch of ethics that prioritizes minimizing suffering over maximizing happiness.
The Problem of Agency: Critics argue that humans have no right to decide the fate of other species (like animals) who might "want" to live despite the struggle.
Nihilistic Extremism: Many find the philosophy's end-goal (total extinction) to be a form of "cosmic psychopathy" that ignores the intrinsic value of beauty, love, and consciousness.
Evolutionary Futility: Scientists point out that even if life on Earth were wiped out, the same biological "trap" could simply evolve again elsewhere in the universe or on Earth after millions of years.
Would you like to explore the specific ethical debates regarding "Wild Animal Suffering," which is a major focus for Efilists, or perhaps look at the psychology behind philosophical pessimism?
Ha ha ha, this is absolutely freakin´ ridiculous. Have we found the original Incel? From Gemini AI, but Mainländer is also mentioned in other sources, so this is most certainly a true description!
Can you explain Mainländer´s philosophy and his idea that God committed suicide when creating the universe?
Philipp Mainländer (1841–1876) is often called the "Saint of Pessimism." His philosophy is perhaps the most radical and dark evolution of the thought of Arthur Schopenhauer. While Schopenhauer argued that the world is driven by a blind, irrational "Will to Live," Mainländer reached a much more startling conclusion: the world is actually driven by a Will to Die.
At the heart of his masterwork, The Philosophy of Redemption, lies the strange and haunting metaphysical story of a "God" who committed suicide to create the universe.
Mainländer begins by imagining a state before the universe existed. He describes this as "The Simple Unity" (God).
This God was an absolute, all-powerful, and singular being.
However, this God realized that "to be" was not as good as "not to be." God desired non-existence.
The Problem: Because God was an absolute unity, he could not simply "vanish." He was too "thick" with being to simply blink out of existence.
Mainländer argues that God's only way to achieve non-existence was to break himself apart. * Creating the universe was not an act of "love" or "creativity" in the traditional sense; it was God’s method of self-destruction.
By fragmenting his unified being into a trillion pieces (the stars, planets, atoms, and biological life), God successfully destroyed his unity.
The Famous Quote: Mainländer wrote that "God is dead, and His death was the life of the world." This predates Nietzsche’s famous "God is dead" statement but means something much more literal and metaphysical.
In Mainländer’s view, we are not living in a blossoming creation; we are living in the shattered fragments of a corpse. * Every movement in the universe—from the cooling of suns to the death of a cell—is part of God's "decaying" process.
The laws of physics, particularly Entropy (the tendency of the universe to move toward disorder and heat death), are essentially the physical evidence of God’s suicide. The universe is slowly but surely "bleeding out" into nothingness.
Mainländer looked at human biology and saw the same pattern. While we think we have a will to live (to eat, to procreate), he argued that these are just tricks to keep the process of fragmentation moving toward the final end.
Individualism: He believed that as the world progresses, it becomes more fragmented. We become more individualistic and lonely, which eventually leads us to see the vanity of life.
The Goal: The ultimate goal of life is to realize that non-existence is better than existence. This is the "Redemption" mentioned in his title.
Unlike many other philosophers, Mainländer provided a practical "solution" to end the suffering of the world:
Asceticism and Virginity: He believed that if humanity stopped procreating, we would stop "re-fragmenting" the divine energy.
By choosing not to have children, we help the universe reach its final goal of "The Silent Nothing." Once the last bit of energy is spent and the last consciousness dies, God’s suicide will finally be complete, and there will be eternal peace.
Mainländer lived his philosophy to its ultimate conclusion. On the day his book was published in 1876, he used a pile of his own newly printed books as a platform and hanged himself. He was only 34 years old. He believed that by ending his life, he was performing his small part in the grand "Redemption" of the universe.
Would you like to explore how his ideas influenced later thinkers like Nietzsche, or perhaps compare his "Will to Die" with Freud’s later concept of the "Death Drive" (Thanatos)?
Anti-Semite crypto-Nazi Incel Nick Fuentes (yes, he again) wants to sabotage the Trump-supported gubernatiorial campaign of Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio. This despite the fact that Vivek is running against a very liberal Jewish woman?! So when push comes to shove, Fuentes prefers liberal Jewish females to dark-skinned East Indian "anchor babies".
LOL. Why doesn´t he consider Jews to be "anchor babies", I wonder? I think it´s obvious that Fuentes is a meme at this point. Maybe he always was. I mean, the guy´s the chief Groyper! The Groypers were the most "based" faction of the on-line Alt Right during the Twitter Silver Age, but the Alt Right was always a post-modernist fart in cyberspace, so none of the above should surprise us.
Not my current mood, for the record. So some Swedish TV network showed "Joker" the other night. I don´t know, I think this film is even more disturbing today than when it was released in 2019...
Or perhaps not. The essay below (by libertarian gadfly Richard Hanania) argues that the Republican party might get "Groyperized" and hence become even more populist (in the bad sense of that term), racist and conspiracist (including anti-Israel). The Groypers are a peculiar Alt Right subculture on the internet associated with the influencer Nick Fuentes. It does seem correct that Fuentes recently went from shunned fringe-Nazi to almost-respectable right-wing personality. Hanania argues that the apparent 2028 GOP frontrunner, J D Vance, must adapt to Groyperism or else face a hard populist backlash.
Hanania also says that while it´s true that the Groypers are internet-based, such a movement can still influence or even change a political party. Well, I disagree. There are only two ways in which hardline populists can get influence. Either by forming a highly centralized organization IRL (not some chatbox on the web) and use it to capture the Republican party, the federal apparatus, and the like. Or by getting the tacit or open support of an establishment faction, but this will only happen if the populist agenda has become "structurally" (so to speak) necessary for that particular faction.
If not, what will happen is what already took place in 2016: a wing of the establishment (in this case some of the "RINOs") will use populism to win elections, but then go for business-as-usual. Which is exactly why the first Trump administration was so ineffective. Trump seems more efficient this time around, but that´s obviously because some other establishment faction has decided that the US needs to become more authoritarian, using the power-hungry and vengeful president as their instrument. The "people" has nothing to do with it, and neither has some subculture of weirdos on X (frankly, the idea is ridiculous).
For instance, if the GOP ever dumps Israel, it will be because of some elite interest in doing so, not because the "base" has suddenly become more, shall we say, "based" on the Jewish Question. If the world looks similar in 2029 to what it does in 2025, Vance as president will simply continue Trump´s policies, regardless of what rhetoric he may have spouted during an election campaign. This will include continued support for Israel, a willingness to take generous donations from Qatar, and even cheap immigrant labor so the Coca-Cola Company can use cane sugar to sweeten the drinks of the Great Leader emeritus (DJT).
I know that the Alt Right has long labored under the illusion that *they* elected Trump in 2016 (also a Democrat talking point) when actually it was White workers in blue wall states (hardly the main constituency of Irony Twitter) switching parties. Maybe the Groypers (the last surviving Alt Right faction?) have similar illusions about their present influence. So here is my prediction: there will never be an Incel Revolution.
Groyp, groyp, don´t lick the toad, groyp! Joke aside, the information in these videos is interesting. Is Charlie Kirk´s alleged assassin really a left-wing radical or does he belong to a bizarre and eclectic but essentially Alt Right Incel subculture? We don´t know (yet) but it would be ironic if all the Woke crazies who cheer the shooting of Kirk are really expressing support for a person groomed by Groypers!
"Professor" Dave attacks an unhinged Incel and conspiracy theorist who claims to have learned physics "intuitively". I admit watching this was a guilty pleasure. If Mr Farina only attacked people like this, I might almost start to like him. Almost.
Some really bizarre "Social Darwinist" speculations in this one. I mean, is Eddie ironic? Has he lost it? Still, it´s interesting that a certain Yoruba female is the only voice of reason in the (dis)United Kingdom...
The "straight/gay" comments attacked in this video must be trolling. Yes, we´re back in the click bait/entertainment corner of the YouTube crazy-spectrum. NSFW, lol. Gives an entirely new meaning to the phrase "fuck around and find out"!
What is the cause of this? It seems to be a common complaint (?!) from GenXers that the younger age cohorts don´t have sex as often as they did. Is it the COVID pandemic, widespread autism, or what? Note also the connection to the entire depopulation issue. Are we mindless victims of some strange evolutionary strategy deeply ingrained in our genes?
Hans Wormhat is a notorious troll on YouTube, who claims to believe in a large number of fairly absurd conspiracy theories. My favorite is the claim that Giant Pandas are really human actors dressed in fur suites! The whole thing could be parody (note the strange name "Wormhat" and its similarity to "Tinfoil Hat"), but on the web, it´s really impossible to know.
The clips above sound seriously paranoid, but - as I said - who knows? Wormhat is into something called "transvestigation", apparently the idea that many female celebrities are really male (and sometimes vice versa). I noted accusations like this against Michelle Obama and the first lady of France, but always assumed they were tongue-in-cheek. However, it seems some people (Incels?) un-ironically believe in the claims. This is combined with ideas about secret societies and initiations, et cetera.
Mr Wormhat takes the whole thing to an entirely new level, claiming that "they are all trannies" and that transvestigation has therefore become meaningless. Says Wormhat, half of the current human population is intersex. Many "men" are really women, many "women" are men. Mike Tyson, for instance, is a woman. Wormhat claims that his entire family consist of "Baphos" or "Baphometians", a reference to the androgyne devil-like figure Baphomet (popularized in the US by the Satanic Temple). His "sister" was really his brother, his "brother" was his sister, and his "father" was the one who gave birth to him?! It´s not clear why these genetic deformities didn´t hurt Wormhat?
Wormhat claims to be a Biblical Christian (while rejecting the apostle Paul!), but his view of the intersex people is surprisingly coy. He sees most of them as victims of the system and therefore preaches charity. Which is intriguing to be sure, since conservative Christians are dead against any form of transgenderism, regarding it as fakery. Wormhat hints that it´s more complicated than this. Perhaps the intersex caste system is the result of a eugenics breeding program of the secret cabals?
Make of this "investigation" whatsoever ye wish.
It would be bizarre (and yet fitting somehow) if the suspected attacker in the Trump assassination attempt turns out to be a radicalized right-wing Incel who had a mental breakdown and wanted to be killed. Fitting? Well, look around you.
Our entire society is insane, the opposition is frequently just as bad as the establishment, there is a mental health crisis both "left" and "right", so *of course* Trump and his supporters were attacked by somebody who "should" have been one of them...
Which doesn´t exclude a conspiracy, of course. Or even rank incompetence. Which may be even worse in the long run. Image being governed by a bunch of fools who can´t even hatch a conspiracy properly!
Will the center hold, I wonder?
I recently watched two documentaries about Incels, Benjamin Zand´s “The Secret World of Incels” and the Swedish “Svenska Incels”, shown on TV4. The latter is probably a copycat of the former. Finnish Hufvudstadsbladet apparently wrote in a critical review that Zand comes across almost as a parody of an uninterested and moralizing BBC reporter. I thought he was just regular. TV4 mostly follows Zand´s lead. I don´t claim to be an expert on the Incel subculture, so I can´t really judge the docus from that angle. At least the productions tell us what establishment media wants us to think about Incels.
It´s a somewhat contradictory picture. On the one hand, the Incel forums
are filled with extreme misogyny, calls for violence, fascination with “gore”,
and eulogization of Elliot Rodger, a disturbed young man who identified as an
Incel and killed six people in California in 2014. On the other hand, the
Incels are portrayed as tragic and lonely, in need of a helping hand from
society or good Samaritans. TV4 also put some emphasis on the autistic aspect
and shows statistics suggesting that more young men than women feel lonely,
never had sex, and so on. This “nice” aspect surprised me, since it must be very
easy to run with the “dangerous extremist” angle.
According to Zand, the “ideology” of the Incels is called “the black
pill”. But surely, that´s just one term, albeit a fairly central one? One thing
that struck me was that the Incels interviewed had a kind of “inverted” version
of the PUA worldview. One even references Vox Day´s SSH, albeit without mentioning
it explicitly. The Incels are self-conscious “Beta males” or “Omegas” who
consider themselves genetically inferior to “Chads” or Alpha males. Weirdly,
the Chad is described in a very stereotypical way, almost as if taken from an
ironic Chad meme on Twitter. He has pronounced jaws, blue eyes, and what not. It´s
difficult to avoid the impression that the autists have been trolled by
somebody! The “black pill” is presumably the realization that everything really
is shit, and there are even forums with tips for how to commit suicide…
One thing never explained in the documentaries is why incels are
becoming more common – that is, why *really*. Autism is obviously a factor. So
why have the number of autists increased? Or virgins, or lonely young people in
general? What about changing dating patterns? The people interviewed (one of
Zand´s interviewees is a young woman or “Femcel”) have either broken with the
toxic subculture, or are on the way out, presumably one of the reasons why they
agreed to talk to reporters in the first place. Frankly, their face masks make
them seem quaint rather than dangerous. But what about all the rest? Or society
in general?
Those questions are left hanging in the air…
Some kind of "incel magick" in this clip by Thomas Sheridan, on temporary shore leave from Branch Covidian coverage. Not sure what to think about this, frankly. Just get laid the usual way? Note the comments on Led Zeppelin! Thelema?
Keith Woods discusses "the factions of the dissident right", most of them quite small and Internet-based. Interesting! Speaks for itself.
