This is the original Swedish edition of Sven Nilsson's book "Orchids
of Northern Europe". It's probably mostly of interest to collectors of
rare and beautiful books, since Nilsson's illustrator Bo Mossberg has managed
to give the Northern orchids an almost "tropical" quality. This book
might not help you in an exotic flower shop, but its almost a work of art in
its own right!
There is also a sequel titled "Syd- och Mellaneuropas orkidéer", which covers the somewhat more exotic orchids of central and southern Europe. Apparently, there is also a one-volume version of the entire work in Swedish. None of these can be purchased from Amazon, however, and seem to be pretty hard to come by even in Sweden.
It seems that only the Northern volume has been translated into English. But then, we can't have everything, can we? ;-)
