"The Convenient Monster" is an episode of the old and venerable TV series "The Saint", starring Roger Moore as Simon Templar, a British upper class private eye with the whole world (or at least its more fashionable resorts) as his hunting grounds. It was originally aired in 1966.
Templar finds himself in Scotland at the very shores of the Loch Ness. A string of animal killings and human murders rock the area, and as usual everyone is a suspect - including the legendary Loch Ness Monster herself. Thanks to his superb investigative abilities and flawless charms, Templar soon solves the mystery, apprehending a very human suspect. Or does he...?
The episode ends with an intriguing twist, which will wet the appetites of crypto-zoologists and big game hunters everywhere, while driving the skeptic association mad as a hatter...
Another blogger I follow promoted this episode lately, and due to the cryptid connection, I obviously had to watch it...and soon discovered that I seen it before, presumably as a child or teenager. And yes, I even remembered most of it! For the record, I don´t believe in Nessie. Bigfoot on the other hand... :D
