The progressive moment is over

Will mass immigration break up the Democratic Party coalition once and for all? Note that pro-Trump Breitbart News are quoting Democrat-leaning strategists.

The progressive moment is well and truly over

  1. No, as usual, Breibart BS. I googled *immigrants are necessary for american economy* and found scores of pro immigration sites. Try the George W Bush Institute for example. If immigrants were all air-lifted to the Moon, who would harvest field crops, be the nannies for the white middle class upstarts, work for sub livable wages? Etc etc.
Not the whites like me. The fact is the cost of living would skyrocket if immigrant labor disappeared. But what does 'progressive' even mean? I think the idea of a democracy, self governance by the people being governed, is progressive enough; an ideal yet to be accomplished.

Now, I don't expect *G-d* to save our asses. It will be up to the voters to choose. Then the backlash will start. I am guessing not until mid 2025 will things cool down. Watch for violence, murder and multiple attempts to overthrow the voice of the people. I am assuming Harris wins.
