The details are still hazy, but something´s clearly up with North Korean troops in Russia. Which may have very serious geopolitical implications (apart from the obvious military ones).
How will China balance the two Korean states if they end up fighting on different sides in Ukraine, one of those sides being Chinese allies?
First North Korean troops deployed in Kursk region?
Can't blame the 18 soldiers for looking for food and the command post!
ReplyDeleteI would too.
In Swedish media, at least the tabloid Aftonbladet tries to give the impression that the soldiers were near the border and tried to "flee", but its clearly stated in Kyiv Independent´s article that they were looking for the *Russian* command post, apparently because their Russian trainers had abandoned them! Or so they imagined, being without food for days.
ReplyDeleteProbably just tired and disgusted. Russia's clearly not the place to defect into.
