"For a Workers' and Farmers' Government in the
United States" is a collection of tedious speeches and letters by SWP
leaders, in which they attempt to clear the fog around the concept of a
workers' and farmers' government. They don't succeed. Small wonder. Outdated
Trotskyite categories simply cannot be squared with really existing socialism.
But sure, if you are interested in the Procrustean bed of post-Trotskyist
theorizing, this might indeed become your birthday present... Not from me, though.
