A peculiar POV film á la “The Blair
Witch Project” about a team of young conspiracy theorists who break into Area
51, the top secret military base where the US federal government supposedly
hides crashed UFOs and aliens. Not as interesting or gripping as the Blair
Witch story (despite some *real* footage from the vicinity of Area 51,
including the “Alien Inn”). The plot is slightly illogical and incomprehensive.
Feels too much like actual low budget. However, it could perhaps be of some
interest to the more hardcore section of the UFO-logy community – if you are a
unredeemable UFO buff with an interest in this kind of lore, you will probably
give “Area 51” three stars, but personally, I settle for two.
