Posted in 2010, hence the anachronisms ("credit crunch", etc) What credit crunch, buster?
The company at which I spend a considerable time
working has an account at the candy wholesale store in the same industrial
zone. All employees go there on a semi-regular basis buying absurdly large
quantities of candy and snacks at ridiculously large prices.
All...except me!
When I tried to buy something there, the guys who own the place refused. Apparently, they assumed I was a vagrant, lurking around in the industrial zone with a backpack and a stupid smile on my face. I'm sure that menacing cat I mentioned in another review belongs to whoever is in charge down at that wholesaler!
For that reason, I have to wait until some of my co-workers(who don't look like vagrants, apparently) buy Maynards Wine Gums and decide to share it with their colleagues. Oh, Maynards Wine Gums! Is there a sweeter candy than this, I wonder? Especially the purple and black ones taste deliciously!!!
This Friday, the guys at our warehouse department overdid themselves: marshmallows, chocolate and a *huge* quantity of Maynards wine gums. After I while, they could hardly work! Due to the credit crunch, there's not much work to do anyway... Most of the candy was still around at 5 PM, so guess what I did before I called it a day?
:D
Well, occasionally God is good. Even to vagrants.
