The idea that the Pope should be obeyed without question seems somewhat problematic when the Pope is LARP-ing as a wokester, but this "traditional" stalwart apparently believes that Francis must not be questioned under any circumstances. He is, after all, the Pope and anyone who criticizes him is also attacking God and Christ. No less!
I have to say that I never felt so radically Protestant as when listening to this...
Sedesvakantister och övriga tradkatoliker bråkar mycket om detta.I en debbatt inför publik mellan SPPX och E. Michael Jones tände det till rejält. Jones hävdade att SPPX var befann sig i schism då man man inte löd påven. SPPX kontrade med att om päven ringer Jones och säger "Vi har en orgie nu igen i vatikanen, skicka övet dina döttrar, annars är du schismatisk"., skulle du lyda då?

Ett framtida problem för de "baserade" katolikerna skulle kunna vara om Vatikanen väljer en svart afrikan till påve. Det finns ett antal kardinaler som skulle kunna komma ifråga. En svart påve på besök i t.ex. Polen eller västra Ukraina skulle ju kunna bli...intressant.
ReplyDeleteKillen i klippet verkar inte vara en "riktig" anhängare av Franciskus, utan en vanlig konservativ katolik som helt enkelt vill ducka alla obekväma frågor om påven genom att driva linjen att en god katolik studerar katekesen, går i mässa, ber på radbandet...och "lyder påven". Med andra ord, agerar som en ignoramus.
ReplyDeleteAs a church going Catholic here in USA I can assure you only fanatics believe in the Magisterium and supremacy of the Pope. Former Pope Benedict XVI aka Cardinal Ratzinger was as close to a church Nazi as you could get. Oh yes, he resigned by the way. And attendance by the Gen Z folks is plummeting. The link is broken now...maybe Opus Dei is watching after all...oops, they're packing our Supreme Court too!
