Or have they simply decided that the Trump Train isn´t lucrative anymore, and decided to strike out for greener pastures somewhere else? I mean, the U-turns of this outfit are near-legendary! Well, I was trying to find out why they may have turned on the Don, but their gay pay wall stopped me. But I did notice attacks on RFK Jr and the Maduro abduction, so something´s clearly up. Is Trump (and Vance) getting a bit too reckless for them? But since only 0.1% of their readers care enough to send them money, maybe I shouldn´t bother...

ReplyDeleteApparently, Spiked still supports national sovereignty to strongly that they can´t support Trump´s attacks on Venezuela and threatened attacks on Greenland / Denmark. With the very "gay" argument that Putin could use the same argument to attack Ukraine and abduct Zelensky. LOL. Funny how these contrarians ultimately sound like the globo-order-liberals they are supposedly opposing.
ReplyDeleteIt struck me that Brendan´s strident moralistic tone in his articles is also very "liberal-British". I mean, he sounds like any British reporter attacking the far right, Incels, Ugandan homophobic priests, or whatever they are attacking at the moment. Except that he turns the strident moralism against the moralizers themselves in a kind of strange inversion.
