Evidence for *direct* realism

Wikipedia claims that the illusion above disproves direct realism. The reason? Well, the lines are straight and run parallel to each other. Although they seem not to. But how does the indirect realist know *that*? Obviously because he is a direct realist *about the real character of the lines*. 

Therefore, the optical illusion above is really evidence *for* direct realism. Duh!
