Wych elms

If you know, you know. And you don´t. (The picture is AI-generated, btw.)

  1. I the city planted what I think is a Scotch Elm in front of my residence here in NA. The sub-contracted "planters" said it was a Hornbeam or American Hornbeam...but obviously not. It grew quickly and is now nearly 50 ft high...I have to go now and rake more leaves!

There are wych elms at the Woodland Cemetery in Stockholm. Which is about 100 years old (not sure how old the trees are). It looks like a pagan grove!

  3. What was coming up from underground? Spirits?

  4. Ha ha, no some kind of mechanical devices which stopped the cars. Luckily, they could call the police (or some kind of night watchman?) to reset the mechanism. Pedestrians can visit the Woodland Cemetery 24/7, but I admit a midnight visit doesn´t appeal to me, I mean, what if I *do* meet a spirit?!
