Imagine a world where information is free, where scientists can freely publish their research, where you don´t have to break the law by trying to access an obscure pirate site in Kazakhstan just to avoid prohibitive paywalls...
Indeed, imagine a world in which scientific research is actually controlled by scientists, rather than by rapacious academic publishers. Maybe it would be better science, too.
It´s not the scientists, apparently, we need to hunt down in the event of a Global Apocalypse...
It never was.
